Calendar and files
Connect Google Calendar or Outlook Calendar, and Google Drive or OneDrive. Invitations and uploads are shown to you first.
Connect them in Settings → Apps & connectors. Each signs in through your browser on Google's or Microsoft's own page; the sign-in is kept in your vault.
Calendar
Google Calendar and Outlook Calendar (Outlook.com and Microsoft 365) give Dus the same tools:
- List events between two times, or matching words.
- Find free time: windows of a given length in working hours (9 to 17 on weekdays by default, in your time zone), for you and, where the calendar shares it, colleagues.
- Create and update events. You see a card with the title, times, place and description first, following your permission mode.
- Invitations always ask. An event with attendees sends them invitations, and changing or deleting one tells them, so those always show you a card listing who will be invited or told, in every mode.
Files
Google Drive and OneDrive give Dus:
- Search by name or contents.
- Read documents as text: Google Docs, Sheets (as CSV) and Slides, and plain text files. Word, Excel and PowerPoint files on OneDrive are saved into the project instead.
- Export to the project: the file is saved under
.duscode/downloads/(Google Docs as .docx, Sheets as .xlsx, Slides as .pptx). - Upload a project file (up to 4 MB). This always asks: it puts project content in the cloud. Files that look like secrets are never uploaded.
What these apps return (an event's description, a document's text) is treated as data, never as instructions. See Apps and connectors.
