Canvases

Small live pages Dus keeps up to date for you, such as a research board, a dashboard or a report. Scheduled jobs update them; export one as a single HTML file.

A canvas is a small page Dus keeps for you. Ask for one in your own words:

  • "Make me a research board of the tools in my niche."
  • "Keep a status dashboard of this project's checks and open pull requests."
  • "Compare these three payment providers in a table."

Dus writes the page and it opens beside the chat. Each canvas is listed in Files → Canvases, with a live preview.

Kept up to date by scheduled jobs

A scheduled job can update a canvas. For example: "Every Monday, research new tools in my niche and put them in a New this week section at the top of my research board." Each run replaces that section with the new one, and the canvas shows when it was updated and by which job.

Safe by design

A canvas runs in a sealed frame:

  • It can't reach Duscode, your projects, your sign-ins or this computer.
  • It has no network access. If a page really needs live data from a website, Dus asks you first and names the sites; it can then load from those sites only.
  • Opening it in its own tab keeps the same seal.

Export

Export downloads the canvas as one HTML file you can keep, send or open anywhere. It says when it was last updated and by whom.

Where canvases live

Each canvas is a folder in the project, .duscode/canvases/<name>/, with the page (index.html), its data (data.json) and its details (canvas.json). Sessions and jobs working in their own folders all update the project's one copy.
